My husband and I found this motel by chance 3 years ago when needing something last minute during a ball tournament. We have been staying here about twice a month, every summer on in to fall, ever since! The staff has been nothing but friendly each and every time and have accommodated any needs we've had. The rooms are clean, great water pressure, cold air, and comfortable beds. When coming to the beach for vacation, there's not much more to ask for! Love this family owned business and will continue to support it as often as we are given the opportunity!
The Sherwood motel is an affordable option if you need a room. This place has been here since the '50s and is well run and somewhat chill.
I've stayed in this motel about 6-8 times, every time I go to Havelock to visit my kids. The rooms are inexpensive, never had a problem with the owner or the employees, Everyone is very friendly to us. One time I got a room where the heat did not work and the owner quickly put me in another room with out a problem. Would not stay anywhere else, I feel like I'm visiting family when I stay!
Hey there peeps, smee again. Some of the rooms have been renovated (some more than others it seems) the hot water didn't get truly hot for 15-20, housekeeping might do well to look on top of things when/if cleaning stuff...what I'm referring to is a pretty big issue or at least it would've been if I were anyone else(y'all are very welcome Sherwood proprietors is all I will say) anywho.... The staff were pretty helpful and there when needed, there is coffee downstairs and a drink vendo. Pretty quiet here too, good as it gets cable TV with free on demand(yaaaaasssss) ample area to the right of the building for activities, football maybe, lawn darts, croquet if you've got a set of course, take your quadrupeds out for exercise. Right next to family dollar. 4 stars only because of the coffee and ample space for activities... Enjoy, I know you will
Good location, rooms were surprisingly clean. The check in person was a bit brash and I asked housekeeping to not bother cleaning my room as I was only staying over for 2 nights, but they did it anyway. Not a horrible place to stay but service could be better.
The owners Mr. Andy and Mrs. Trush Patel are two sweet amazing owners!! I used to work for them and miss working with them today honestly!! I was a front desk clerk and house keeper and I always Made sure my rooms were very well maintained and clean. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends that come to visit any day!!!

I stayed here for 2 weeks. First thing I noticed when I first moved in was how clean the room was. The owner and employees are all very friendly good people
Stayed here while I was homeless a year ago, have returned multiple times since. It's not the most beautiful or perfect hotel, but it's cheap, and the housekeeping and front staff are extremely polite and helpful. The rooms are nothing special, but they are comfortable and clean.
It has been ok the room has been remolded the furnishings are decenct it's a little quirky but to be expected for a hotel of it's age and it was fairly quiet there are two bad points thin cheap bath towels and a rock hard mattress
